You had me from beginning to end Grey Hen with a pen. Wonderful, even more wonderful to get an old taste of old Catholicism with all it’s biases and contradictions.

I was raised to be a good Catholic girl, going to convent schools through to university. Not so good now, I still believe but am disgusted with the continuous abuse of the Catholic hierarchy and the appalling way they have covered up or excused their crimes.

I went to a high school in Newcastle Australia where heinous sexual assault occurred. When boys went to the Principal Brother, they were brutally caned for telling lies. The memory of it sickens me now.
