You are very welcome Ann. I do eat lots of cranberry sauce and cranberry juice, so I know the taste. My husband and I barely agree of anything at all, but we both love berries and turkey is our favourite meat.

Once an Aldi store opened up in a city just before Christmas. They still had huge freezers full of turkeys left over the next Easter and wanted the room. I think I bought 9 all up. Whole turkeys, buffe-breast turkeys, splayed turkeys with macadamia stuffing, I took all we had room for. The use by date wasn’t up for another 16 months. We had turkey for all family birthdays, Christmas, Easter, all special occasions as well as several ‘emergency’ turkeys as well.

They had reduced these frozen birds down to about $3 per kilo, which was cheaper than any other meat. That was a wonderful turkey year.

My daughter is a wonderful cook and she put dried cranberries, which we call craisons, into the turkey stuffing along with slivered almonds. So, I do get my fair share of cranberries. We also grow about 7 different other types of berries and my husband stews those up to make a delicious filling for pies and tarts, or just to have with a dollop of ice-cream.

I’m so glad you persisted with your writing. You write with honesty and honestly, not a lot of authors ever can manage that even half so well as you do.
