Yeah…no one wants to watch a slow, steady romance in Hollywood, they give us the wham-bam fantasy in 43 minutes of careful editing. Just think that if real life were just like the best rom coms we would get no delicious slow seduction, and any actual sex would last for a minute or less. The only foreplay would be tearing each other’s clothes off in a doorway. And we would have airbrushed, perfectly unblemished 10 out of 10 bodies in any position before during and afterwards. Reality as I know it is nothing like that. The slow coming around to know your partner and to want to say and do things to please them because it pleases you to please them and you get a buzz out of relaxing together farts and all is the love you’ve been waiting for.
