Soaring Spirit

My garden once the rain eased this afternoon.

Thanks Susan, I don't know about dancing in it, but it was sprinkling rain today.

My husband has just lit a fire because the temperature dropped down to single figures again. I shrugged on my sheepskin jacket and took a turn about the yard. Crushing lavender in the palm of my hand, inhaling the perfume. Marveling at the glossy yellow flowers and how the grass is already greener from half an inch of rain yesterday.

I turned my face to the gloomy sky and felt spots of sleet fall cold on my cheeks. It might not be dancing, but it felt a little like I was dancing inside. I need more moments like these...in the present moment.

Thank you for your compliment. I hope I can live up to that 'optimistic spirit'. All I know is that my arm hurts less when my mood is upbeat.

You are my inspiration.
